Have you started to use Dropbox yet? If not, you should definitely check it out. I use it all the time, mainly to share docs with friends, business associates, and people I meet, as well as to share docs between my Mac and my mobile devices. It comes in VERY handy.
I’ve been wanting to max out my Dropbox account so I can add more docs, but I just haven’t had time to get more referrals.
You automatically get a referral link when you sign up for Dropbox, and when someone signs up via your link, not only do you get 500MB of more space added to your Dropbox account, but they do as well.
As luck would have it, recently, when I was researching online storage services, I saw a comment by a guy who had maxed out his Dropbox account in a very short period of time. The way he did it was simple, yet brilliant.
Ever heard of fiverr.com? It’s a great resource if you’re looking to outsource a menial task. But that’s not the main concept of the site. The main concept is that every task that is outsourced to a worker on that site costs $5. That’s it. No more. No less. Just $5.
And it’s amazing what some people will DO for five dollars.
For example…
If anything, I would suggest you check out the site just for entertainment purposes alone.
And…if you look hard enough, you just might find a killer deal like…
Not only did I find someone who would jack up my Dropbox account to the max capacity of a free account, which is 18GB (sans Dropbox’s social media offers), but I found someone who would do that for two accounts, all for the bargain price of $5. Not bad…not bad at all.
Not only that, but I started receiving notifications of Dropbox referrals within 8 MINUTES of making the $5 payment! They came in one after the other, and within SIX MINUTES, my first Dropbox account was maxed out!
My second Dropbox account took only 9 minutes to max out, which started immediately after my first account was maxed out.
In case you’re interested, here is the link to the worker that I used:

So how does it work?
It’s pretty simple, really.
Here’s all you have to do:
- Log into each of your Dropbox accounts and get your referral link for each account
- To get your Dropbox referral link, log into your Dropbox account and click on “Get Free Space!” in the upper right corner of the page
- Then click on “Refer Friends to Dropbox”
- Next, copy the referral link that will be located toward the bottom of the page

- Do that for both of your Dropbox accounts
- Once you have the referral link for both of your Dropbox accounts, go to fiverr.com and sign up for an account, if you don’t already have one, and log in.
- After you sign up for an account and log in, go here, pay the $5, submit your referral links, and within 24 hours, your Dropbox accounts should be maxed out!(they’ll probably be maxed out much sooner than that, as mine only took 23 minutes to max out from the time I paid to completion, but as with everything, your mileage may vary, depending on what time you do it; I did it around 3pm PST)
- Enjoy!
Btw, there are other deals that you can get on Fiverr.com that give you more space, but they involve giving the worker your user and a temp password, and I did not want to do that. Others give you extra space for two years and then drop back down to between 18GB and 23GB, and I didn’t want to do that either. But if that lifts your skirt, feel free!
If you choose to go that route, I would just suggest you have them add the extra space before you add any docs to your account, or delete your data and then put it back when they finish adding more space, just for security purposes. But if you delete your data for that purpose, just make sure you have a copy of all of it stored somewhere else.
