Firefox 4 Beta Ready for Download
Mozilla recently released a beta version of Firefox 4, and it’s ready for download. The only thing that I will mention as a precaution is that if you have a Mac, I would not suggest downloading or installing it just yet.
Here’s why…
I installed it on my Mac, which, at the time of this blog post, is up to date with Mac OS X 10.6.5 and has the latest version of Adobe Flash Player installed. After I installed Firefox 4 Beta, I went to YouTube to check it out, and all I got was a black box where the video should be playing. I checked the Mozilla support forums, and it seems as though many people are having the same problem. So, if you’re a Mac user, then I would hold off for now.
But if you’re a PC user, I know Firefox 4 Beta works on both Windows XP and Windows 7. I’m sure it works on Vista as well, but I can only confirm XP and Windows 7. So if you’re using a pc, then you should be good to go!
